Consumers International announces new Board Member

Consumers International is pleased to announce that Rosemary Siyachitema, Executive Director of the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe, has become the newest member of the Board. With experience spanning 12 years in the consumer movement, Rosemary will be an important addition to the Board which consists of nine high-level representatives from our global membership.

ABOUT ROSEMARY

Rosemary Siyachitema is an award-winning consumer activist who has been instrumental in the development of key legislations that have strengthened consumer protection in Zimbabwe. Her expertise lies in consumer protection, policy development and corporate governance.

Appointed as Executive Director of the Consumer Council of Zimbabwe (CCZ) in 2004, Rosemary has played an essential role in representing CCZ on the international stage and enhancing the organisations ability to deliver effective consumer protection and empowerment in Zimbabwe.

In addition to her impressive work in consumer activism, she is a regular speaker at international events and has served on numerous boards and organisations including the Zimbabwe Women’s Resource Centre Network, Buy Zimbabwe Board, Anti-Money Laundering Advisory Committee, National Incomes and Pricing Commission and Micro Finance Advisory Council.
