Weather: December is a good time to visit Kenya—the weather is warm and reasonably dry. The average daily maximum is 24 C and the average daily minimum is 14 C. It's a good idea to bring along a jumper or light jacket for the evenings.

Electricity Requirements: In Kenya the standard voltage is 240 V and the frequency is 50 Hz. The power plug sockets are of type G.

Local Currency: The official currency of Kenya is the Kenyan shilling. Although US dollars are accepted in some places such as large hotels, it's a good idea to travel into the country with Kenyan shillings.
